Alila Hotels and Resorts will add three new hotels to its collection in 2014

The Asian boutique hotel group, Alila Hotels and Resorts, has announced that it will be adding three new properties to its portfolio in 2014. The first of the three luxury hotels will open in Oman in March, marking its debut in the Middle East, while the other two will open in Bali and India later in the year.

Alila Hotels and Resorts will be adding three new properties to its portfolio in 2014 including its debut property in the Middle East.

The first of the three hotels to open next year will be the Alila Jabal Akhdar in Oman which is scheduled to open in March. The other two properties will open in Bali and India later in the year.

The Alila Jabal Akhdar Oman marks the hotel group's entry into the Middle East and its location 2,000 miles above sea level and two hours from the capital Muscat means it offers a secluded retreat with spectacular views overlooking a gorge and the Al Hajar Mountains.

The luxury hotel has 78 guest rooms and six loft suites, as well as an array of upscale amenities such as a cliff-side restaurant serving gourmet cuisine, a swimming pool, a fitness centre, Spa Alila. The resort also boasts two Jabal Villas with two bedrooms, a private swimming pool, Jacuzzi and a steam room.

Alila Jabal Akhdar translates into 'Green Mountain' in Arabic, and the design of the newest of Oman's luxury resorts feature traditional craftsmanship inspired by Omani culture and been built using locally sourced materials.

In Oman guests can enjoy 'Alila Experiences' that have been crafted to incorporate the resort's environment and culture. The experiences are centred around five main themes - cultural learning, conscious living, active spirits, culinary arts and couple celebration – and guests can learn about the history and culture of the beautiful region.

Alila Hotels and Resorts have boutique properties across the Asia Pacific region and the company is also planning to expand further its hotel presence in China, Malaysia, India, Indonesia, Indochina and Europe. The Alila Seminyak Bali in Indonesia and Alila Fort Bishangarh Jaipur in India are scheduled to open in late 2014.

The Middle East nation of Oman is a popular tourist destination in the Middle East and as well as offering a wide range of luxury hotels, there also many tourist attractions, sights, and activities for holidaymakers of all ages.

The capital, Muscat, is a fantastic destination for travellers, and visitors can stroll for miles along the city's sandy beaches and rugged coastline, or explore the historic sites and attractions such as the Al Jalali Fort and Al Mirani forts, Qasr Al Alam Royal Palace, Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque, Qurum National Park and the Bait az-Zubair Museum.

The shores off the coast of Oman's capital, Muscat, are teeming with colourful corals and thousands of marine species including seahorses, Oman clownfish, loggerhead turtles, dolphins, sharks and humpback whales, which makes is a perfect destination for scuba diving and snorkelling adventures.
