A popular all inclusive hotel in the beautiful Jardines del Rey archipelago has just gained recognition for providing outstanding holidays in one of Cuba’s most blessed regions.
The Sol Cayo Guillermo hotel and beach resort recently won the Intellichoix Award in the category of Tourism, Destination Caribbean. The winning title was revealed last week by French-Canadian website famillesdajourdhui.com.
The website, whose name translates to “Families of Today” together with their Intellichoix team nominated the Cuban all inclusive resort among several other hotel properties and hospitality establishments that offered customers, in this case holidaymakers on Cuba holidays, with the best offers for products and quality services for Canadians.
In order to be granted the award, it was tourists themselves who voted for the best Cuba hotels and beach resorts using criteria that included: quality, price, accessibility, innovating character, respect for the language, development of products based on the needs of Canadian families and their green responsibility towards the local environment.
The Intellichoix team said the Sol Cayo Guillermo Hotel was one of the best places for family holidays in Cuba, and those who travel with children appreciate its facilities, because of the level of comfort, security and entertainment offer. The hotel has specially designed family rooms, adapted to the needs of small children as well as a well-structured recreation programme.
According to the criterion of Canadian Julie Ouelleten at the website Trypadvisor.com during her last visit to the Sol Cayo Guillermo Hotel she verified this installation fulfilled all her expectations.
Nelido Casay, commercial specialist for the Sol Cayo Guillermo Hotel, told Prensa Latina that the hotel, a four-star all inclusive, currently offers a total of 268 rooms.
The all inclusive resort first opened on May 1996 and offers great child-friendly facilities, including a Baby Club, a mini-disco and other services dedicated to children, plus a very well-trained personnel in children's care. The hotel has Canada, United Kingdom and Argentina as the main markets reporting the largest numbers of visitors and repeat visitors.
