The event, scheduled to take place on the 14th September 2012, will reward the leading players in the Caribbean holidays industry giving the winners a shot at the ultimate recognition in the WTA Grand Final to be held in New Delhi India at the end of the year.

The World Travel Awards' Americas Gala Ceremony 2012 soon taking place on 14th September 2012 will reward and celebrate the leading players in the Caribbean holidays industry including the best hotels in Turks and Caicos as this year's edition will be hosted in the twin-island nation.

Since its initial launch in 1993, The World Travel Awards (WTA) has often been referred to as the Oscars of the tourism sector and is considered to be the highest achievement for any product in the tourism sector. The Caribbean & the Americas Gala Ceremony 2012 represents the second leg of the WTA Grand Tour with similar regional events taking place in Dubai, Nairobi, Singapore and The Algarve. The winners of each leg will then move one step closer to the ultimate recognition with a spot at the WTA Grand Final. The Grand Final is set to take place on the 12th December 2012 at The Oberoi, Gurgaon, New Delhi, India.
