Four Seasons Resort Nevis to re-open December 2010

The St. Kitts and Nevis hotel, Four Seasons Resort Nevis, has announced that it will be opening its doors to guests once again on 15th December 2010 after Hurricane Omar caused it to close in 2008.

The luxury all inclusive Caribbean resort will be celebrating its 20th anniversary as it opens just in time for the holiday season this winter.

Extensive damage caused by Hurricane Omar forced the St. Kitts and Nevis hotel to close in October 2008 for two years, but the refurbished property is pleased to open its doors once again to travellers from all over the world this December.

Regional Vice-President and General Manager of the hotel, Andrew Humphries, said: "As we count down to opening day, we are all anticipating welcoming back old friends and introducing new guests to the charms of this special, unspoiled island," "Much of what's made Four Seasons a favourite of so many over the years will be back – but we can't wait to show everyone the new additions, too."

The hotel refurbishments include 196 renovated luxury rooms and suites and four new 200 square-feet private beach houses; a new Coral Grill restaurant; and a brand new sailing school for guests enjoying St. Kitts holidays.

The sailing school will feature numerous water sports for guests of all ages and a new onsite Sail Laser program which enables participants to receive a diploma after a six-hour training course.

The award-wining spa will feature a range of treatments using natural ingredients such as papaya, honey, sugar cane and coconut with the help of the new Spa Director, Nancy Mitchell who has joined the team of 700 staff members at the all inclusive Caribbean resort.

Golfing enthusiasts will be able to practice their swing on the 15-hole Robert Trent Jones II golf course, which will see the first Admiral's Cup Pro-Am tournament in January 2011.

The Four Seasons Hotel commented: "Consistently ranked by travellers and travel experts as one of the top resorts in the world, Four Seasons Resort Nevis has received numerous accolades, including Top Family-Friendly Hotel in the Caribbean and Best Service in the Caribbean by Travel + Leisure in 2009. Four Seasons Resort Nevis is also the only AAA Five Diamond property in the region, having first achieved the designation in 1992."
