Bermuda Travel and Tourism report shows fall in Bermuda holidays

The number of travellers enjoying Bermuda holidays has significantly fallen because of the economic crisis in the United States, according to a new market research report.

Euromonitor International's Travel And Tourism in Bermuda report offers a full guide to the shape of the market at a national level and provides data for the period of 2005-2009. The fall in visitors taking Bermuda holidays has had a knock-on effect on Bermuda hotels, shops, restaurants, cruise operators and airlines while it appears that tourists are postponing their holidays in Bermuda or spending less during their stay on the tropical Caribbean island.

The market research report provides a detailed picture of Bermuda's travel and tourism industry; helps understand the market's competition with leading players and brands; and predicts how the market is likely to develop with a five-year forecast.

The Caribbean holiday destination has been a popular hotspot for US travellers which has been helped by its convenient location just off the east coast of America in the North Atlantic Ocean.

The gathering of islands make up a British Overseas territory and provides travellers on Bermuda holidays with an array of stunning famous pink sand beaches, clear sparkling waters, coral reefs, and a number of historical sights and attractions including museums, Botanical Gardens, nature parks, lighthouses, Crystal Caves, and the Bermuda Aquarium.

The stunning island destination offers a selection of idyllic spots including wrecks and coral reefs for diving enthusiasts on Bermuda holidays. Shallow waters offer snorkelers the perfect chance to get close to the ocean's array of diverse species. A tropical climate allows visitors to enjoy warm temperatures and clear blue skies while they explore the island's delights.

Known for its sporting activities, Bermuda regularly hosts golf championships and is home to seven championship golf courses and a number of luxury hotels and golf resorts.

Residents of the island work hard to conserve the island''s beautiful sights and ecosystem. Travellers enjoying Bermuda holidays can explore the preserved underground crystal caves, play with dolphins at the Bermuda Maritime Museum, and watch the behaviour of 360 species of birds through binoculars.
