Jetwing Hotel planning gourmet feast for Galle Literary Festival
The Jetwing Kurulubedda will be playing host to the Galle Literary Festival this year as famous writers, novelists and literary enthusiasts attend the culinary experience whilst enjoying Sri Lanka holidays.
On 31 January this year, Gratiaen award winner, Shehan Karunatilaka and Diran Adebayo will be amongst 25 other delegates enjoying a gourmet feast at the nearby Jetwing Lighthouse who will be responsible for providing the delicious feast of Sri Lankan rice and curry.
The festival attendees on their Sri Lanka holidays will enjoy their gourmet meal within the beautiful surroundings of the newly constructed lush green paddy fields.
The chef of the Jetwing Lighthouse, Nihal Senanayake, said:
"We are aiming to present the true flavours' of Southern Sri Lankan hospitality at this paddy-lunch."
Tickets have already sold out for Galle Literary Festival and the celebrity whale watch event from the Jetwing Lighthouse on February 1 2010 but there are still some places available for the culinary feast on January 31. On the evening of the meal, Gehan De Silva Wijeyerratne will hold a talk on Sri Lanka becoming the latest hot spot for whale watching and whale photography.
