Gujarat is one of the most diverse States in India and is rich in every sense of the word. It is the ideal destination for any travel enthusiast. The folk arts of Gujarat form a major part of the culture of the state. It preserves the rich tradition of song, dance, drama, textile and cuisine as well.

The historical background and heritage of the state is visible in its vast wealth of forts, palaces, mosques, temples, and places of importance in India's struggle for independence. It is a state with an amazingly varied topography ranging from the deep green of the dense forests home to the Asiatic lions to stark white at the salt plains. Its 1660 kilometres coastline is home to some of the most beautiful beaches and unique marine species. The geographical location of the state makes it an ideal matrix, a melting pot of a vast variety of culture, people, places and history due to eons of migratory influences.

Day 1 - Arrive Mumbai

Upon arrival in Mumbai, you will be met and assisted by a representative and will be transferred to your hotel.

Spend the rest of the day relaxing at the hotel or you can choose to explore in and around Mumbai on your own.

Mumbai, A throbbing, cosmopolitan metropolis, still retains the glory of the past, the colonial legacy that coexists with the Maratha influence.

Day 2 - Mumbai

In the morning after breakfast, enjoy the half day city tour of Mumbai visiting the Prince of Wales monument, Mani Bhawan and Dhobi Ghat. Also, drive past the Flora Fountain, the colourful Crawford Market and Victoria Terminus train station.

Afternoon is at leisure. You can also indulge in one of the optional Tours as below -

Optional Extra - Elephanta Excursion

In the Afternoon, visit Elephanta Caves located in one of the islands of Mumbai Harbor.

Optional Extra - Bollywood Tour

Set off for the Bollywood Tour. You will be picked up from the hotel. A Friendly guide will fill you in on the Bollywood News, Visit the studio to see the set and watch a live shoot and edit, buffet lunch at a popular restaurant, Visit to a corporate office of a production house, drive past the actor's homes and a visit to Bandra's Bollywood Walk of Fame, Visit to an art gallery of handmade Bollywood Posters.

Day 3 - Mumbai - Ahmedabad

After breakfast, board your flight to Ahmedabad

Upon arrival in Ahmedabad, check-in at the hotel.

Ahemdabad is one of India's most historic cities and you will still be able to see the gates and walls of the original fortifications. It is also one of the best places to study the blend of Hindu & Islamic architecture known as Indo-Saracenic.

Spend the rest of the day at leisure. Stay overnight in Ahmedabad.

Day 4 - Ahmedabad - Lothal - Bhavnagar

In the morning after breakfast, proceed to Bhavnagar, en route visit Lothal.

Lothal is the most extensively excavated site of Harappan culture in India, and therefore allows the most insight into the story of the Indus Valley Civilization, its exuberant flight, and it's tragic decay.

Upon arrival in Bhavnagar, check-in at the hotel.

Day 5 - Bhavnagar - Sasan Gir

After breakfast, drive to Sasan Gir (201 kms / 4.5 Hrs). En route visit Palitana Jain Temples.

After the visit, continue your drive to Sasan Gir

Upon arrival, check-in at the hotel.

Sasan Gir Lion sanctuary is home of some 410 Asiatic Lions. Sasan Gir is the only place in the world outside the African continent where lion can be seen in its natural habitat.

Evening is at leisure. Stay overnight in Sasan Gir.

Day 6 - Sasan Gir

Enjoy morning and afternoon safari's at Gir National Park.

Gir Widllife Sanctuary is the last refuge of Asiatic lions in India and the lion population residing in the park is a little over 410. Gir is not just about Lions, the second most commonly found predator in the Gir is Leopard. Infect, Gir national park is also home to one of the largest Leopard populations in any park in India, and especially in the hotter season they can sometimes be seen at night close to the lodges.

Evening is at leisure. Stay overnight in Sasan Gir.

Day 7 - Sasan Gir - Junagarh - Gondal

After breakfast, drive to Gondal (130 kms / 03 Hrs). En route visit the Maquabaras, Darbar Hall Museum, Upper Fort and Ashoka Rock Edict at Junagarh.

Later continue driving to Gondal. Upon arrival, check-in at the hotel.

After a freshen up visit a private collection of vintage classic cars by the Maharaja of Gondal. Also visit the Naulakha Palace which was erected around 1748 AD in the Darbargarh of the rulers and since then has been extended by successive rulers.

Spend the rest of the evening at leisure. Stay overnight in Gondal.

Day 8 - Gondal - Bhuj

Today morning after breakfast, drive to Bhuj (275 kms / 6 Hrs).

Upon arrival, check in at the hotel.
Bhuj, the major town of Kutch, is an old city established in 1510.With its surrounding wall, the atmospheric bazaar area, crenellated gateways, old palaces and striking temples the town still retains a medieval character.

In the evening visit Kutch Museum, Aina Mahal, Prag Mahal and Kutch Museum.

Stay overnight in Bhuj.

Day 9 - Bhuj

Early in the morning proceed for an excursion to "Baani Village" Baani means A cluster of Villages. Visit the various villages such as Hodka - famous for its beautiful embroidery and mud work, Ludiya - The main occupation here is - monsoon farming, cattle rearing, intricate wood carving, embroidery work and wall painting. Also visit the Dhordo village to see beautiful traditional mud houses with mirror work and its fine Mutwa embroidery with tiny mirrors.

Spend the evening relaxing at the hotel. Stay Overnight in Bhuj.

Day 10 - Bhuj - Dasada (Bajana)

In the morning after breakfast, drive to Dasada. Enroute visit Dhaneti and Dhamdka Village.

After the visit proceed to Bajana. Upon arrival, check-in at the hotel.

Day 11 - Dasada (Bajana)

In the morning enjoy the bird watching and wild ass sanctuary

The sanctuary is well known for its group of brown Asiatic Wild asses, which do not live elsewhere except in the Indian lowlands. Sometimes it's possible to see Little Rann of Kutch blackbuck (Indian antelope), nilgai or blue bull (India's largest antelope) and the graceful chinkara (Indian gazelle).

Comeback to the hotel for Lunch.

Evening proceed for another Safari. Stay overnight in Bajana.

Day 12 - Dasada - Modhera - Patan - Ahmedabad - Mumbai

After breakfast, drive to Modhera to visit The Sun Temple. This temple is one of the finest Hindu temples in Gujarat, built by the great Solanki dynasty. This temple and the Konark Sun Temple in Orissa are very similar.

Later proceed to Patan. Famous for Patola weaving, only a few families of Patan, The Salvi Community weaves Patola, called "the queen of textiles".

Also visit Rani Ki Vav, Patan Step Well, which is another wonderful muti-storied step well and also one of the largest and the most elegantly designed structures of its type.

Later proceed to Ahmedabad airport to board your flight to Mumbai

Upon arrival in Mumbai, check-in at the hotel.

Day 13 - Depart Mumbai

Today morning after breakfast, you will be assisted and transferred in your private car to Mumbai International Airport to connect your flight for onward destination.
