Holidays in Nizwa

One of Oman's oldest and most historical cities, Nizwa is the country's largest interior province with many attractions for the wandering traveller to explore. Once the capital of Oman during the 6th and 7th centuries, nowadays the city remains as one of the country's most popular tourist destinations due to its richness of historical buildings and the imposing fort built in the mid 17th century by Imam Sultan Bin Saif Al Ya'ribi which is Oman's most visited national monument.

Located at the heart of Oman, the town's immense palm oasis stretches over 8 kilometres along the course of two wadis (luhs green oases of pam trees, grasses, water pools and flowering) and is known for popular tourist attractions such as the Nizwa Souq, famous for its handi and the Falaj Daris, a World Heritage Site and the larges falaj in Oman.
