Just ten minutes walk from Chiang Mai's famous night bazaar and near to plenty of wining and dining options, Tamarind Village is perfectly situated. Nestled within the leafy grounds of an old tamarind orchard accessed by a bamboo covered driveway, Tamarind Village is a truly charming boutique retreat in the heart of Chiang Mai's historic old town. Simply furnished yet beautiful rooms feature a private balcony and are decorated in traditional Lanna style with tribal patterned textiles, dark wood and white washed walls. The hotel has a swimming pool and boasts both an indoor and outdoor restaurant, where service always comes with a smile! The Village Spa is a must, with highly trained therapists offering a range of treatments.

This was our favourite hotel. It was very quaint and the staff were delightful. We went to an elephant rescue centre which we really enjoyed and then had an afternoon of white water rafting. Not for the faint hearted!!
