Getting Around

Most holidaymakers choose a hotel and resort as their base and take excursions as they wish. The main roads are in good condition and car hire is easy to find. There are plenty of taxis, ferries, minibuses and bicycles that are affordable and can be hired locally, or you can rent golf carts on some of the smaller islands!

Safari on a Seaplane

If you're up for an adventure, why not try a safari seaplane? See the Bahama archipelago from the sky before embarking on a spot of island-hopping, snorkelling and safari fun. You'll have the chance to explore coves and cays you wouldn't usually have access to, feed iguana's that live on secluded beaches and also brush up on your James Bond knowledge at Thunderball Grotto!

Tour the Lucayan National Park

The Lucayan National Park is a sprawling 40-acre Eden of pines, palms and mangroves. If you're looking for somewhere to soak up the sun, The Golden Rock Beach is a beautiful secluded spot, making it ideal for an afternoon swim. Get active and explore the underwater caves (one of which is said to be the world’s longest) or try your hand at kayaking and horse-riding among other sports you can get involved in.
