Jumby Bay Island in Antigua is undergoing extensive renovations which will be revealed this month. The multi-million-dollar renovation project started in July at the private-island resort in the Caribbean, and the project is now in its second of a three-phase development. This month, the hotel's upgraded lobby, spa, bar and restaurant will be unveiled.

Antigua to host biggest England Tour of the West Indies in 10 years

The West Indies are expected to massively benefit from the celebration of the biggest England tour in this part of the Caribbean in ten years. Between January and March 2019, thousands of fan-loving holidaymakers are expected to flock to Antigua, Barbados, Grenada, St Lucia and St Kitts to enjoy the live cricket action whilst also relaxing and enjoying some quality time off in this naturally enchanting part of the world.

Rosewood Half Moon Bay Antigua Resort scheduled to open to guests in 2021

Rosewood Hotels and Resorts has revealed that it will add a new Caribbean property to its portfolio in 2021. The Rosewood Half Moon Bay will be located on the tropical island of Antigua, and it will have 47 pavilion-style suites that face the bay and ocean. There will also be upscale facilities including beachfront pools, tennis courts, Sense, A Rosewood Spa, and a biodynamic farm.

Blue Waters, Resort and Spa in Antigua appoints new General Manager

The Blue Waters, Resort & Spa in Antigua has appointed a new General Manager. Kevin Phillips, originally from Barbados, joins the luxury resort following a managerial role at the Carlisle Bay Resort in Antigua. Phillips brings years of expertise and experience with him to the new role, after working at luxury resorts in the British Virgin Islands and Barbados.

Antigua 360 Round the Island Race planned for February

This year's Antigua 360 is planned for February 16. The event is the third of its kind and is a precursor to the RORC Caribbean 600 offshore classic. The Antigua 360 was conceived by Stan Pearson and fellow sailors and in the years since the inaugural event, it has become one of the premier sailing events in the Caribbean.

St Mary’s Court Antigua debuts with Rum Bus Beach bar

A new beach bar has opened in south-west Antigua, attached to St Mary's Court Best Western Premier Hotel, which is under construction and due to debut next summer 2018. The unique Rum Bus Beach is themed around an imported London routemaster bus, and is also the official bar of the Caribbean's iconic Mount Gay rum brand.

Cruise industry in Antigua and Barbuda set to break record by end of the year

The cruise industry in Antigua and Barbuda is thriving, according to recent figures from the nation's tourism ministry. An anticipated 459,138 cruise passengers are expected to visit the twin island nation between October and December this year. More than 220 cruise ship calls will be made during this period, including 12 new cruises from ships that have never visited the Caribbean country.

Caribbean island of Antigua open to tourists following Hurricane Irma

The Caribbean island of Antigua is open for business following the devastating Hurricane Irma earlier this month. Many of the island nation’s attractions, activities, restaurants and hotels have reopened to the public, and many more will reopen over the next couple of months before the peak winter season begins. The island’s airport and cruise berths have also re-opened to travellers.
