Where better to kick back and relax than on this stunning Caribbean Island. Blue skies meet turquoise waters and powder-white sands on your holidays in Montego Bay, one of the most popular resorts in Jamaica, which boasts a plethora of luxury all inclusive resorts, fabulous hotels, bundles of history and traditional reggae bars! Mo' Bay, as it's fondly known, is bubbling with life during the day and night, and once you've strolled along its ice-white sands, there's plenty more to see and do on the island. The best time to go on Montego Bay holidays is within the short window of November to mid-December, when the temperatures roll between a pleasant 21 and 26°C. It’s better to avoid the rainy season in May and October.

Montego Bay holidays are paradise for those who like to make a splash, with excellent watersports facilities including scuba diving and snorkelling on almost every beach. Nature lovers can visit Croydon Plantation, a tropical paradise in the Catadupa Mountains that's home to wild flowers and waterfalls, while golf enthusiasts can tee off from world-class courses that overlook the sea. The Doctor’s Cave, probably the island’s best beach, welcomes you with a line of quirky cafes and restaurants.

Just 68km away (an hour’s drive), are the mesmerizing YS Falls where you can take a river cruise amidst tropical jungles. For those who want to immerse themselves in the Jamaican vibe, head to Mo' Bay’s lively restaurants, tropical beach bars and of course, the home of reggae. Go to the resort's Hip Strip on Gloucester Avenue for shopping, restaurants and lively bars.

    Montego Bay's Beaches

All the beaches in Montego Bay have their own charm and topographies and they are absolutely adorable. You can boogie board, sunbathe and swim in the turquoise waters of Doctor’s Cave Beach or take the kids to Walter Fletcher Beach, where they can have fun at the amusement park or get scuba diving lessons at the Montego Bay Marine Park. For more white sand heaven visit Negril's Seven Mile Beach, where you can snorkel amid the colourful reefs.

If you fancy a day of exploration away from the resort, there's plenty to keep you occupied in and around the island. Cruise down the scenic Black River (Jamaica’s longest) and keep your eyes peeled for colourful birds and crocodiles, indulge in a local picnic spread and swim in YS Falls. Enjoy rafting on the Martha Brae river in neighbouring Falmouth or go back to the island's roots in the village of Nine Mile, also known as the birthplace of reggae.

    Nightlife on Gloucester Avenue

Otherwise known as the Hip Strip, Gloucester Avenue is the place to be in Montego Bay. This buzzing stretch is active day and night and as it's handily located near the oceanfront, those that want a break from bronzing can stroll straight off the beach and onto the restaurants, shops and bars. Head to Margaritaville, Blue Beat Ultra Lounge, Pier 1 and more for martini's and live music.

    Jamaican Food and Drink

Food in Jamaica is big, bold and mouth-wateringly good! Jerk chicken is one of the nation's favourite dishes. Order by the beach and chow down on spicy plates of chicken, as you watch the sun go down - watch out for their fiery kick!
