Getting Around

Public transport in Tunisia is extensive and taxis are plentiful. Taxis come in two kinds – private metered ones that are used in resorts and cities, and louages (minivans), which are available for long haul drives. The capital, Tunis, has an electric train network and a tram system, too.

Most towns and resorts have their own bus service, which can connect you to the nearby areas as well as attractions in and around town. Travel is usually incredible cheap, but buses can get very full during peak times. In Tunisia, you drive on the right-hand side. The extensive road network means that you can get around the country with ease, but in cities and towns the traffic can be chaotic.

Sousse

Sousse, a captivating tourist city in Tunisia offers a pleasant climate and stunning beaches.

The beaches of Sousse, like Boujaffar, extend for approximately 6 miles, stretching from the city centre to Port el-Kantaoui. While some parts are privately owned by beachfront hotels, there is ample space to bask in the sun and take a refreshing dip in the inviting waters.

When it comes to cuisine, Tunisian food is a delightful fusion of European and Middle Eastern flavours. The aromatic blend of aniseed, coriander, cumin, and other spices enhances the dishes.

For those seeking vibrant nightlife, Sousse is renowned for its lively entertainment scene. Bora Bora, an open-air nightclub, hosts electrifying live performances by acrobats, fire dancers, and renowned DJs. The club remains open until the early hours, with shows commencing around 1 am.

Alternatively, many hotels offer evening entertainment and have bars that cater to late-night revellers.
