Ras Al Khaimah hosts World Travel Awards Middle East Gala Ceremony

The World Travel Awards (WTA) Middle East Gala Ceremony was hosted by Ras Al Khaimah for the first time last month. The glamorous ceremony marked the start of the 2018 World Travel Awards Grand Tour, and took place at the Waldorf Astoria Ras al Khaimah, which was also named as the Leading Resort in Ras Al Khaimah on the night. Winners of the regional ceremonies will go onto the Grand Final in Portugal in December.

Hilton Ras Al Khaimah Resort and Spa Unveils Renovated Villas

The Hilton Ras Al Khaimah Resort & Spa has announced the completion of its extensive refurbishment programme. The hotel's 151 villa rooms have all been renovated and offer direct beach access or views overlooking the Arabian Gulf. The luxury hotel also has a new Mediterranean-themed Sol Bar, and the Levant-inspired Al Maeda restaurant will open shortly.

Ritz-Carlton Ras Al Khaimah the fourth Ritz-Carlton in the UAE

After signing an agreement in 2016 with RAK National Hotels (RAKNH) to revamp and rebrand two of the city's most lavish properties, Ritz-Carlton finally re-inaugurated the first venue in Al Wadi Desert. Last week, the Ritz-Carlton Ras Al Khaimah, Al Wadi Desert re-opened its doors to the public with lavish interiors that blend in with the stunning natural surroundings.

Record-breaking zipline boosts adventure tourism in Ras al Khaimah

Ras al Khaimah is now home to the world’s longest zip-line – Jebel Jais Flight – with more cables set to increase capacity this autumn 2018. The new 2.83 kilometre-long zip-wire from the top of the UAE's highest mountain Jebel Jais is the latest attraction intended to help transform the emirate into the region's adventure tourism hub.

Ras Al Khaimah launches new shuttle between Dubai International Airport and Ras Al Khaimah

The Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority has announced the launch of a new shuttle service between Dubai International Airport to Ras Al Khaimah. The shuttle will pick up guests from terminal 1 and 3 of the airport and will drop them at major hotels in Ras Al Khaimah for a fee. The 45-minute service allows easier connectivity between the two emirates.
