AC Hotel Guadalajara Expo Debuts in Mexico

The AC Hotel Guadalajara Expo recently opened in central Guadalajara. The hotel is affiliated with Fibra Inn, a Mexican trust developed to bring business hotels to the country. The AC Hotel Guadalajara is located within the Plaza del Sol commercial district and is only 5 minutes from the Expo Guadalajara.

Quintana Roo in Mexico is one step closer to reaching 100,000 hotel rooms

The popular state of Quintana Roo in Mexico is nearing its 100,000th guest room milestone. The tourist destination currently has 97,606 guest rooms in its variety of hotels and resorts, and a further eight hotel projects are currently under development or about to start, bringing new properties to the regions of Cancun, Mayan Riviera, Isla Mujeres, Holbox, Bacalar and Mahahual.

Paradisus Cancun unveils its refurbished Royal Service Ocean View Suites and Lounge

Paradisus by Melia has completed an extensive refurbishment programme of accommodation and facilities at Paradisus Cancun. The $2.6 million renovation project transformed the 135 Royal Service Ocean View Suites, which now all have views of the sea, and an upgraded the Royal Service Lounge at the luxury hotel. Plans to introduce new Royal Service Lagoon View Suites are planned for this December.

Cancun set for another successful tourism year with new hotels, expansions and events

After the success of 2016 and record-breaking visitor number, Cancun is celebrating further growth this year in its tourism industry. Over the next few months, the coastal region in Mexico will open another five hotels with at least 2,300 guest rooms, renovate several existing hotels and resorts, expand its international airport, and host a number of music and food festivals.

Mexico becomes world’s eighth most popular tourist destination in UNWTO report

Mexico has become the eighth most popular tourist destination in the world, according to UNWTO. The country recorded 35 million visitors in 2016, which was a nine per cent increase in international arrivals. Mexico is expected to reach the top five rankings soon after the number of visitors since 2012 has increased by 50 per cent. The most popular locations include Cancun, the Riviera Maya, Los Cabos, and Puerto Vallarta.
