Royalton lines up new luxury resorts in Cancun and Antigua

Two new properties from luxury hotel chain Royalton Resorts are set to open in the Caribbean region this winter season. The brand has announced Royalton Cancun will debut in Mexico later this year, while Royalton Antigua will open beside a private beach in the north-west of the Caribbean island in early 2019.

Planet Hollywood to develop hotels in Cancun and Costa Rica

Sandals Resorts International celebrates EarthCheck Certification across its Caribbean Resorts

Sandals Resorts International has revealed that it has become the only hotel chain in the world to have six of its properties holding Master Certification from EarthCheck. Sandals Montego Bay, Sandals Royal Plantation, Sandals Ochi Beach Resort, Sandals Negril, Beaches Negril, and Sandals La Toc each hold the prestigious certification, and several other Sandals Resorts in the region hold Platinum, Gold and Silver certification.

Caribbean celebrates record-breaking 30 million visitors in 2017

In 2017, the Caribbean celebrated record-breaking visitor arrivals with more than 30 million tourists travelling to and staying in the region. According to the acting director of research with the Caribbean Tourism Organisation, Ryan Skeete, the region also reached $37 billion in visitor spending, despite the series of hurricanes and storms in September.
