With an anticipated opening for late 2009 or early 2010, the luxury brand, Mandarin Oriental will mark its presence in the Caribbean soon with the launch of their first Turks and Caicos hotel at the lush and deserted Dellis Cay.
The new Mandarin Oriental Dellis Cay will be located on an incredible stretch of unspoilt 35 acre beachfront land, on the scenic southwestern shore of the island. Sitting secluded and hidden away on this privileged deserted beach, the new Turks and Caicos hotel by Mandarin Oriental will be surrounded by pristine white sands, sheltered coral reefs and protected mangrove reserves.
In-keeping with Mandarin Oriental’s devotion to wellbeing space, this hot new property will feature a signature 22,000 square foot Spa that will be built over a tranquil lake. The Spas at Mandarin Oriental are havens for contemplation and discovery. Guided by the group’s oriental heritage but influenced by local cultural diversity, each Spa at Mandarin Oriental is designed to offer a complete holistic experience that goes well beyond simply delivering massages to tired bodies. At their new Turks and Caicos hotel the emphasis on the whole spa experience won’t be any different. A focus for the Group’s spa experience is the signature “Time Ritual” which encourages guests to book time rather than specific treatments, so that services can be tailor-made to meet specific needs. Highly trained therapists are thoroughly educated to the hotel group’s own exacting standards, and are all committed to excellence and take pride in delivering personalized, dedicated service. The Spa at Mandarin Oriental’s new Turks and Caicos hotel will also feature an outdoor pool for water massage treatments
Mandarin Oriental’s new Turks and Caicos hotel will comprise 197 beautifully appointed and tastefully decorated rooms whilst also featuring a variety of Residences housed in stand-alone villas and 789 multi-roomed apartments. Furthermore Mandarin Oriental’s first Caribbean hotel will account with four restaurants, infinity-edge pools, tennis courts, a beach club and shops.
This new project soon approaching its completion date will be an incredible addition to Turks and Caicos holidays, as it is being built on an exclusive, previously uninhabited island on the Turks and Caicos chain. As part of the development, the project also includes some residential villas and 25 suites in the hotel to add to the residences offered for rental which will feature large terraces and balconies. The property is so hot that it’s already being rumoured that Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones have snagged a pre-construction villa here. If it’s good enough for a celebrity getaway it will sure be good enough for your Turks and Caicos holiday escape, right?
