Six Senses Hotels and Resort will mark their debut in the Caribbean and Latin America in 2021 with the opening of a new hotel. The property will be located in the tropical island nation of St Kitts and Nevis.

Situated in the La Vallee region on the island of St Kitts, the new hotel will sit on 41 acres of a former sugar plantation. There will be 70 pool villas with private plunge pools and sea views.

The villas will be constructed using repurposed and sustainable materials, and guests will be able to adjust their energy efficient lighting and air conditioning using an in-room iPad. The beds will also have Naturalmat mattress to aid a restful night’s sleep. Guests will be transported to their villa at the Six Senses St Kitts resort via electric buggy.

Hon. Mr. Lindsay F.P. Grant, the Minister of Tourism for St. Kitts and Nevis, explained:

“It is exciting to see the team already hard at work to create what is sure to become an exceptional product and to see how passionate they are about what they’re doing. The Six Senses property will add yet another signature hotel brand to our growing portfolio of accommodations, which includes a number of top lifestyle hotel brands opening in the next few years that is un-paralleled in the Eastern Caribbean.”

“Furthermore, it will provide significant economic benefits for the people of the Federation including the creation of over 300 jobs for our local citizens in the construction phases alone with several hundred more becoming available once the hotel is open.”

Facilities at the beachfront resort will include several dining venues serving Caribbean cuisine, fresh seafood, fruit, vegetables and spices from the resort’s garden, and fresh produce from local growers. Guests can unwind with a cocktail at the Rum Shack bar or a juice or beer at the swim-up bar at the main swimming pool.

Younger guests can enjoy activities at the Grow With Six Senses teen centre and kids' club, while adults indulge with a pampering treatment at the Six Senses Spa with a yoga pavilion, or workout at the fitness centre. There’s also an on-site dive centre for water enthusiasts who are keen to explore the turquoise waters.

Six Senses Hotels, Resorts and Spas is a hospitality brand that operates properties across China, Vietnam, Indonesia, Bhutan, Thailand, Fiji, Portugal, France, Turkey, Singapore and the Seychelles. The brand prides itself on its environmentally-friendly practices at its properties, and supports the natural and cultural heritage of the surrounding area.
