Absolute Sanctuary in Koh Samui rebrands as fitness-wellness resort
A yoga and detox retreat on the Thai island of Koh Samui has rebranded as a fitness-wellness resort offering everything from pilates and spin classes to spa treatments and healthy food. The 38-room Absolute Sanctuary resort is also expanding its facilities to include a larger gym and cycling studio.
The Absolute Sanctuary resort on the Thai island of Koh Samui has rebranded as Asia’s first fitness-wellness resort offering guests a program of activities to enhance their physical and mental wellbeing.
Part of health and lifestyle brand Absolute You, the 38-room boutique resort now offers yoga, pilates, reformer, core suspend, rhythm cycling, specialist diet and detox programs, as well as spa therapies and relaxation sessions.
Guests can sign up for a complete fitness experience with tailored exercise programs, high-quality group classes and expert instructors.
To enhance its new offering, the resort is upgrading its facilities to include a larger gym and a rhythm cycling studio that will be open in time for the New Year 2018.
It has also changed the look of its logo and website with new warmer and inviting colour tones.
To coincide with the resort’s rebranding, it has launched two new wellness concepts – Lifestyle Change and Meaningful Holidays.
The lifestyle change concept is a structured 30 or 60-day program for people looking to completely reboot with the best diet, exercise and wellness routine designed for their needs.
The meaningful holidays package comprises a three-day getaway where guests can design their own dedicated wellbeing experience using the resort’s extensive resources, fitness classes and health experts. The program is geared towards travellers who want an easy introduction to wellness holidays.
“The key to living happy and healthily is to eat well, rest well and exercise well with the right mix of exercise that promotes flexibility, core strength and cardiovascular fitness. Absolute Sanctuary embodies the true essence of fitness and wellness with its yoga, pilates, and rhythm cycling programs combined with its innovative superfoods cuisine.”
Said Absolute Sanctuary’s Executive Director Claire Bostock.
According to Bostock, there has been a growing market of niche travellers looking for a holiday experience where they can immerse themselves in their passion for fitness, wellness and self-improvement. Absolute Sanctuary seeks to provide the ideal experience for guests to unplug from the world and reboot themselves with a getaway that promotes good energy and wellbeing.
“With our new fitness-wellness positioning, it is also timely to revamp our look and feel to exude what we stand for – a place for people to reconnect with themselves, recharge their mind, body and soul, revitalize their inner being and re-energize their life.”
The most recent rebrand and expansion builds on the evolution of the resort that originally opened as a yoga and detox retreat in 2008. The resort expanded in 2010 with the construction of a new wing housing two new yoga studios and a larger Love Kitchen restaurant.
A fitness studio was added in 2011. In 2014 the resort became the first in Asia to introduce Pilates Reformer Boot Camp holidays with the addition of a Pilates Group Reformer studio to its facilities.
