Centara Kata Resort Phuket in Thailand appoints new resort manager

A brand new Resort Manager has been announced for the upscale Centara Kata Resort Phuket in Thailand. Veerapol Poungvarin, the former resort manager of Centara Chaan Talay Resorts & Villas, has taken the role, after working in the hospitality and hotel industry for more than 25 years. The manager has been with the Centara Hotels and Resorts group since 2013.

Centara Hotels and Resorts has announced the appointment of a brand new Resort Manager at the Centara Kata Resort Phuket in Thailand. Veerapol Poungvarin makes the move from his former position as the Resort Manager of Centara Chaan Talay Resorts & Villas.

Mr Poungvarin brings more than 25 years of experience in the hospitality industry to his new role at the upscale resort in Phuket. The manager first began his career at Centara Hotels and Resorts in 2013, as an Executive Assistant manager for the Centara Pattaya Hotel.

He has worked at numerous hotels across Thailand including the Dusit Thani Bangkok, Garden Cliff Resort & Spa Pattaya and InterContinental Bangkok Hotel.

Thirayuth Chirathivat, the Chief Executive of Centara Hotels & Resorts said:

“Veerapol and his broad management skills in hospitality is a valuable asset for Centara Hotels & Resorts. He has been devoting himself not to just complete assignments at work, but also creating a pleasant working environment among the team members."

Centara Kata Resort Phuket is located within tropical natural landscapes, close to the beautiful Kata beach in Phuket. The upscale resort has a wide range of accommodation that ranges from deluxe rooms to two-bedroom Family Suites, many with views of the ocean and beach. All guest rooms have vibrant décor, king-size or twin beds, and modern amenities including a minifridge, coffee and tea making facilities, safes, and private furnished terraces or balconies.

The family-friendly resort’s facilities include three swimming pools, including a children’s pool with play slides and aqua beds, and a pool with swim-up bars and a Jacuzzi; multiple play areas and a kids’ club; the luxury SPA Cenvaree with tranquil treatment rooms and an array of therapies; and a sports area and modern fitness centre. Guests can also take advantage of a complimentary shuttle service to nearby Kata Beach.

Guests can dine at a variety of restaurants, including the Seasons restaurant with Asian, Thai and international cuisine, the poolside Waves restaurant with burgers, salads and sandwiches, and the Emerald Pool Bar with refreshments, cocktails and juices. There are regular BBQ buffets and theme nights, and in-room dining is also available for guests.
