Garden Inn Muscat - Al Khuwair the Hilton debut in Muscat

Hilton Worldwide has announced that it has signed a management agreement with the Muscat National Development and Investment Company to open the first Hilton-branded hotel in Muscat, Oman. Hilton Garden Inn Muscat - Al Khuwair will be located just 20 minutes from the main airport, and it will have 232 guest rooms and suites, as well as a fitness centre, restaurants, bar and business amenities.

Hilton Worldwide will be making its debut in Muscat, after it signed a management agreement with the Muscat National Development and Investment Company. The global hotel group will open the Hilton Garden Inn Muscat - Al Khuwair in the first quarter of 2019.

The new hotel will be Hilton’s second in Oman, but the first in its capital city, Muscat. The luxury property will have 232 guest rooms and suites, and an array of facilities that will cater for business and leisure guests.

Carlos Khneisser, the Vice President of Development, Middle East and North Africa for Hilton Worldwide, stated:

"With a well-established tourism industry and historic reputation as a trading hub, Muscat is continuing to develop its infrastructure in response to steady increases in business and leisure arrivals.”

Khneisser added:

“Oman welcomes almost 3.5 million visitors each year and with Muscat's expanding airport capacity, as well as the expected opening of the Oman Convention & Exhibition Centre this year, we look forward to supporting this growth and developing Hilton's presence here."

Hilton Garden Inn Muscat will be located in the heart of the city on Dohat Al Adab Street, about 20 minutes from Muscat International Airport. Guests can enjoy close proximity to attractions including the renowned Royal Opera House and Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque.

Facilities at the new hotel include 150 square metres of meeting and event space, a 24-hour business centre, complimentary wireless internet, and a fitness centre. Guests can pick up a sweet or savoury snack from the 24-hour Pavilion Pantry, and there are several restaurants and bars nearby.

Muscat is the vibrant capital of Oman, and visitors are attracted by its art galleries, theatres, museums, shops, markets, and its natural landscapes. Tourists can visit attractions including the Royal Opera House, Muscat gate Museum, the Natural History Museum and the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque, and water enthusiasts can explore the crystal-clear waters off the city’s coastline during enjoy snorkelling and scuba diving adventures.
