Atlantis, Paradise Island in Bahamas to open refurbished Coral Towers in July

The Atlantis, Paradise Island will open its refurbished Coral Towers in July, after an extensive upgrade programme. Later this year the Bahamas resort will also reveal its transformed Marina Village.

When Coral Towers open this summer, the redesigned Lobby Lounge will be unveiled with its new Soda Fountain that will serve cocktails, coffees, milkshakes gelato and cakes, which can be enjoyed in comfortable woven chairs during the day or at night. The colour scheme of the Lobby Lounge features coral and teal hues.

Guest rooms will offer double queen or king size beds, to cater for families, and all offer terraces with views of the gardens or the sea. Bathrooms will have new flooring, sinks, modern showers and bath tubs, and brand new amenities include small bath robes and an in-room refrigerator where guests can pre-order their refreshments.

There will be a new “poolscape” which will have private cabanas where guests can relax in the sunshine, as well as fun family friendly activities to enjoy. The swim-up popsicle bar will serve locally made frozen treats that are made with fresh Bahamian fruit, and free from preservatives.

Families can also take advantage of the new Family Trip Planner which was recently introduced at the Coral Towers. The complimentary service allows guests to customise packages that include the rental of private cabanas, children’s activities at Atlantis Kids Adventures, family trips and swims at Dolphin Cay, and dining reservations. Families can also book excursions to explore the local culture and wildlife, and onsite certified babysitters are available if parents want a night off to enjoy entertainment, dinner or drinks at the luxury resort.

Atlantis, Paradise Island will also unveil the new Marina Village this autumn, which will celebrate the culture, spirit and taste of the Bahamas. The venue will host various interactive dining experiences, tastings, markets, seasonal festivals and performances from local musicians. Local dishes will include, fish fry, conch salad and craft beer from a local brewery.

Atlantis, Paradise Island is a marine-themed resort that is located on its own island in the Bahamas. The beachfront resort boasts a variety of accommodation options, and facilities include a spa, two kids clubs, 30 restaurants and bars, a Tom Weiskopf-designed oceanfront golf course, 11 swimming pools, the Atlantis Casino, and the largest open-air marine habitat in the world, Aquaventure with 141 acres of waterscape with an array of fun waterslides and 11 swimming pools.
