Malaysia’s capital is filled with wonder. From breath-taking skyscrapers to unspoiled natural sites, Kuala Lumpur is home to numerous attractions that catch tourists’ eyes all around the world. Given the fact that many travellers are short of time during their holidays and in occasions, don’t get to see as much as they would like of this beautiful city, helicopter tours in Malaysia have become a popular option.

Since mid 2016, Ascend Sky Tours began offering helicopter tours within the country’s capital and other important tourist destinations within Malaysia as a special way of sightseeing for visitors and locals alike. The company launched its services with different tour packs that last six, 15, 30 and 45 minutes respectively and focus on providing the maximum of enjoyment in a reduced amount of time.

According to a statement by Ascend Sky Tours management on their website:

“We offer world class service combined with many years of experience in the aviation industry. We aim to make helicopter rides more accessible to international and local tourists alike while giving them the experience of a bird’s eye view of beautiful Malaysia.”

Those who embark on this sky adventure can choose from four tours. Called the “KL Express”, the six-minute tour (with a cost of 630 Malyasian Ringgit) provides passengers with a fast but remarkable view of Kuala Lumpur’s skyline, including the KL Tower, KLCC, Dataran, Merdeca, National Palace and the National Mosque. For 1550 Malaysian Ringgit, “City Explorer”, which lasts 15 minutes takes tourists over Malaysia’s impressive Batu caves, giving them a view of the limestone cliffs and golden statue of Batu Caves, as well as covering the mentioned city route.

Ascend Sky Tours named its third air adventure (3050 Malaysian Ringgit) “Jungle Escape”. For thirty minutes, this tour shows visitors not only the city’s landmarks like the National Palace and KLCC, Batu Dam, Quartz Ridge and TM Tower, but also the beauty of Malaysia’s verdant rain forests and glistening lakes via Klang Dam Route.

Finally, Ascend Sky Tours offers a 45-minute helicopter circuit called “Mountain View” over the Genting Highlands for 4,410 Malaysian Ringgit. Designed to fly passengers above the most complete view of this stunning country, the tour is considered the company’s signature circuit as it flies over Kuala Lumpur’s skyscrapers, KL Tower, KLCC and the lush green hills of Genting Highlands, as well as Templer Park and Batu Caves.

Sky Tour’s currently possesses nine units of helicopters being used for tours and private functions flying from Tasik Titiwangsa heliport daily. The company’s Marketing Manager, Shariza Mohd Hithir, states that this unique air trip, navigated by five licensed foreign pilots is an exceptional way to see the essence of Kuala Lumpur in a space of 6 to 45 minutes.
