Four Points by Sheraton Nairobi Hurlingham first Marriott property in Kenya
Prestigious luxury hotel brand, Marriott International Inc., continues to expand across the world with the opening of its very first property in Kenya. The Four Points by Sheraton Nairobi Hurlingham, an urban and modern venue close to the airport that just opened its doors to the public, will soon be followed by another Marriott hotel set to open in 2020.
Renowned all over the world as a top-quality luxury hotel chain, Marriott International Inc. continues to expand across the globe with the opening of its very first property in Kenya: the Four Points by Sheraton Nairobi Hurlingham. Situated in a posh residential area, the new venue stands close to the city centre and within easy access of the Westlands business areas as well as the Kenyatta International Airport and the Wilson Airport.
This modern establishment not only launches the brand’s presence in Kenya but also marks the hotel chain’s growing significance in the African continent. Alex Kyriakidis, Marriott International’s President and Managing Director of Middle East and Africa, stated:
“Four Points by Sheraton Nairobi, Hurlingham is a significant addition to our fast growing portfolio in the region offering a perfect blend of stylish comfort and genuine service at an honest value. The hotel is yet another example of our conversion-friendly strategy that highlights our ability to convert hotels successfully within a short period of time and have them join our system while delivering value to our partners and creating memorable experiences for our guests in exciting new destinations.”
Four Points by Sheraton Nairobi Hurlingham was designed with utmost comfort in mind. Comprising 96 spacious rooms, the newly-opened hotel caters to demanding clients with excellent options in the cuisine and beverage departments including an all-day dining restaurant, a rooftop restaurant with spectacular city views, as well as a comfy bar and lounge where guests can experience the brand’s signature Best Brews programme which in this case features an array of local beers.
In addition, all rooms and suites are complete with the brand’s defining elements like the signature Four Points bed, free bottled water and free Wi-Fi, which is also available throughout the hotel. Other facilities within the Kenya Sheraton include a fitness centre, a rooftop pool and 8500 square feet of flexible meeting spaces.
General Manager at Four Points by Sheraton Nairobi Hurlingham, Vivek Mathur declared his optimist outlook on the hotel’s performance:
“By introducing a Four Points property, we expect to attract travellers familiar with this popular global brand and everything it has to offer and we are confident that the hotel will emerge as a preferred choice for travellers looking for stylish accommodation and a relaxing atmosphere whether they are on business or on leisure.”
Founded in 1993, Marriott International has not ceased to expand. After purchasing Starwood in 2015, it became the largest hotel chain in the world with over 5000 properties across different countries. Currently, the company is set to keep growing in Kenya and African destinations. The 365-room JW Marriott in Nairobi, which is presently being developed and should be ready to receive clients by 2020, will become the brand’s second property in Kenya.
In addition, Marriott brand, Four Points by Sheraton continues to experience incredible growth momentum. Solely in East Africa, the brand is set to open three more hotels later this year: the Four Points by Sheraton Nairobi Airport, the Four Points by Sheraton Dar es Salam and the Four Points by Sheraton Arusha.
