Jumeirah set to open new Saraya Bandar Jissah beach resort in Oman

The Jumeirah Hotel Group will open a new luxury resort on the sandy cove of Bandar Jissah close to Oman’s capital of Muscat. The hotel company, famous for its deluxe hotels in Dubai, plans to complete the complex of two hotels offering 312 beachside rooms early in 2017.

The high-end resort is situated close to Qantab between the Gulf of Oman and the Hajar Mountains offering a picturesque natural setting. It is also very accessible, just 15 minutes’ drive south of Muscat city centre and 40 minutes by road from Muscat International Airport.

The new development will feature extensive facilities for guests including a spa operated under Jumeirah’s Tulise wellness brand, and a scuba-diving centre so that guests can take advantage of excellent diving conditions in the Gulf of Oman. There will also be a wide range of sports and leisure facilities, a selection of restaurants, bars and cafes and a kids club.

The resort will also include conference and banqueting facilities to cater for Oman’s growing popularity as a destination for conferences, meetings and large-scale events. The resort forms part of a larger development that includes high-end residential townhouses and villas, taking advantage of some of the most beautiful, unspoilt coastline in the Middle East.

Jumeirah Group ‘s President and CEO Gerald Lawless, said:

“We are delighted to have been selected by Saraya Bandar Jissah to operate this resort in one of the most beautiful parts of Oman. As we continue to expand the Jumeirah brand across the Middle East, we bring our exceptional quality of service to loyal guests in new markets, helping them to discover the very best in luxury hospitality and the beauty of emerging destinations like the Omani coastline.”

Jumeirah currently operates 22 luxury hotels and serviced apartments, including 11 in the Gulf region, six in Europe and five in Asia. A further 15 hotels are now under development. The company’s Dubai portfolio includes Burj Al Arab Jumeirah, Jumeirah Beach Hotel, Jumeirah Creekside Hotel, Jumeirah Emirates Towers, Jumeirah Zabeel Saray and Madinat Jumeirah, and it also runs Wild Wadi Waterpark.
