Four Seasons launch a new luxury lodge in Thailand

Aimed at attracting more families to the region, the Golden Triangle of Thailand now has a new choice in luxury accommodations. The safari-style lodge by Four Seasons is surrounded by lush jungle plus river and mountain views with enough space for a large family to spread out and enjoy the scenic surroundings of this unique area.

Four Seasons launch a new luxury lodge in Thailand

Already known for attracting visitors with its remote location and exotic scenery, the Four Seasons in northern Thailand now has a new addition, this one being marketed specifically towards families. Author Mark Elliott explains some of the unique attributes of the property as published in a recent article on Travel Daily Media.

The property is located in the Golden Triangle, the convergence of the Mekong River with Thailand, Laos and Myanmar. The Four Seasons tented camp had already offered two versions in accommodations with enough room for three guests. Boasting such features as an outdoor rain shower and outdoor deck the tents include views of the mountains, jungle, Burma and Ruak River.

Elliott writes the new offering is a larger Explorer’s Lodge with enough room for an entire family to relax and enjoy the impressive surroundings. The safari-style lodge includes two bedrooms, each with its own en-suite bath. The resort’s website lists there is one once such lodge on the property, and it’s at the far end, providing for an excess of privacy. With room for up to six people this lodge provides views of the jungle. As well, the lodge also includes a large deck with an outdoor plunge pool plus traditional décor that reflects Thai culture.

As the article points out the new lodge is part of an effort to attract families to the location. The Four Seasons works with the Golden Triangle Asian Elephant Foundation to provide safe interaction with elephants while guests are on holiday. As well visitors can also explore the jungles and mountain trails. The resort website does list that all children need to be at least 10 years old to visit unless they are part of a larger group that has rented out the entire camp.

Other amenities available to guests include guided and personalized excursions as well as a full-service spa set on the edge of the jungle and Thai cooking lessons. The Golden Triangle is aimed at the adventurous traveller, the emergence of three countries and cultures into one spectacular location. Along with viewing ancient architecture, natural attractions and experiencing the local traditions, breath-taking views and the unique treasures of the region entertain visitors on holiday to the Golden Triangle region of northern Thailand.
