Top Antigua all-inclusive introduces full moon beach parties

Leading all inclusive resort St James Club and Villas in south-eastern Antigua has added twice-monthly full moon beach parties to its entertainment offering, alongside a number of other innovations across the property.

Top Antigua all-inclusive introduces full moon beach parties

One of Antigua's top all-inclusive resorts, St James Club and Villas, has started hosting full moon beach parties with live music, dance performers, a roaring camp fire and barbecue food on the wide calm beach at Mamora Bay. The new evening event at the resort's western beach has proved so popular with guests that it is now being held twice a month to coincide with the half and full moons.

The Saturday night party has live cooking stations alongside a huge buffet with stands serving rum and fruit punches and a large picnic area with benches laid out across a section of Mamora Bay. A small stage and sound system are the focus of the action with entertainment from the island's best steel pan, reggae, calypso and soca cover bands.

This latest addition to St James' entertainment offering is one of many ongoing improvements and changes at the Elite Islands Resort that encompasses a large landscaped peninsula flanked by white beaches on the south-east coast of Antigua. As well as enhancing its all-inclusive menus earlier this year, the resort has revamped several of its lounges and eateries including the Docksider Restaurant and Bar, Coco's Restaurant and Bar and the Jacaranda Bar.

The resort has also upgraded its sports and fitness facilities with four tennis courts resurfaced to world-class standards, and a brand new, state-of-the-art 3,700-square-foot gym with its own yoga pavilion.

St James' sister-hotel, the Verandah Resort and Spa, similarly run by Elite Island Resorts, has also made a series of changes recently including enlarged beach areas, a snack shack on Rasta Beach, and new electronic room locks throughout the resort.

The Verandah also plans to debut six new two-bedroom villas with private plunge pools later on this year, adding to its already large selection of seafront suite-villas that are spread across extensive grounds in a sheltered enclave of eastern Antigua.

Commenting on the new updates, Elite Island Resorts' President Steven Heydt said:

"We are proud to provide our guests with a truly authentic Caribbean holiday. Elite Island Resorts strives to continually innovate, expand, and elevate the guest experience. Our repeat and future guests will love these updates, and we are looking forward to high demand for these resorts throughout the rest of this year."
