Wyndham Hotel Group to open two hotels in Muscat in 2018

Wyndham Hotel Group has announced that it will open two brand new hotels in Oman’s capital under its Ramada Encore and Ramada Hotel & Suites brands in 2018.

The hotel group will open Ramada Encore Muscat Al Ghubra and four-star Ramada Hotel & Suites Muscat Al Ghubra in Muscat, and the two properties will be connected by a footbridge.

Dan Ruff, the President and Managing Director for Wyndham Hotel Group EMEA commented:

“Oman’s unrivalled natural beauty spans spectacular mountains to beautiful coastal regions, attracting many types of travellers with 12mn expected in 2020. It’s clear there’s a demand for the international quality of accommodation that only our brands can offer. The signing of these two hotels is a real milestone for Wyndham Hotel Group as they join the existing Ramada Qurum Beach presenting even more choices to Muscat’s business and leisure visitors.”

The Ramada Encore Muscat Al Ghubra will have 200 guest rooms including 27 suites, and facilities including a rooftop swimming pool and cafe, a fitness centre, an all-day restaurant, a coffee lounge, and meeting and event facilities.

It will be the first Ramada Encore hotel to open in Oman, and the brand’s largest in the Middle East and Africa. The Ramada Hotel & Suites Muscat Al Ghubra will have 90 upscale suites, and guests will have access to facilities at the connecting Ramada Encore. The contemporary hotel will have a spacious coffee lounge, breakout areas, and three meeting rooms.

Both hotels will be located on Sultan Qaboos Street, close to shopping centres and the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque.

Muscat is Oman’s bustling capital, with miles of beautiful beaches and coastline, and a wide range of historic sites and places to visit such as the Al Jalali Fort and Al Mirani forts, Qasr Al Alam Royal Palace, Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque, Qurum National Park and the Bait az-Zubair Museum.

Holidaymakers can head to Oman’s vast golden deserts and soaring sand dunes, or go scuba diving and snorkelling off the coast of Muscat and explore the underwater world that is teeming with vibrant corals and marine species such as seahorses, Oman clownfish, dolphins, and turtles. If you're planning to go on holidays to Oman, don't hesitate just go. Oman is fascinating and full of charm.
