New gold bar in Burj Al Arab is insanely awesome!

The latest place to hit Dubai's sophisticated and trendy nightlife scene is without a doubt the most innovative and extravagant. Of course, it also had to be located inside the emirates' most decadently luxurious, 7-star hotel and, indeed, we're talking about no other than the Burj Al Arab. The recently opened Gold on 27, clad in real gold leaf motifs from head to toe and exuding golden opulence from every pore, does justice to its name, instantly becoming the city's most amazingly incredible nightspot - where every socialite and most elite members of society will want to be seen.

New gold bar in Burj Al Arab is insanely awesome!

Burj Al Arab's most decadent new bar is the talk of town, and how could it not be when its exquisite design paired with unique cocktail creations are like nowhere else in the world.

The newly opened Gold on 27 which opened its doors at the start of this month is perfectly located inside Dubai's most outrageously luxurious hotel (the only 7-star rated in the world!). It does justice to its name as its covered in gold from head to toe.

From golden hues everywhere to textured walls and gold relief motifs on the ceiling, the bar looks nothing short of spectacularly breath-taking. And whilst all the adornments might not be made from melted gold bars, certain features are made from real gold leaf and the whole place certainly looks as if extracted from a gold mine. It's jaw-droppingly out of this world!

Stepping in is like entering a James Bond movie, only better because you're the star here and you're made to feel like one. Ever heard of goat cheese foam cocktail? Well, you can be one of the very few people in the world to sample one here. And that's not all, the bar's over-ambitious and risque cocktail menu contains even more surprising items, they themselves describe it as "unlike anything seen in Dubai" and may we add "quite possibly in the whole world" with a hefty price tag to go with its unreachable heights of sophistication, originality and exclusivity.

All of this opulence with gold dusting added is perfectly ambienced to soundtracks expertly mixed by internationally-acclaimed DJ Darko, playing soulful house and lounge music to get you (and keep you) in the mood all night long.

You'll be gasping in awe as you lay eyes on the dramatic textured walls, the golden bar stools and the cascading see-through curtains – a flowing waterfall feature with small gold pieces in it.

If you're wondering whether you can afford this level of majestuosity (and you aren't a rock star, member of a royal family or a millionaire), the short answer is yes, sure you can, but it will cost you a pretty penny. It's still doable though and it won't break the bank either – as long as you don't plan to become a regular guest. If you want to indulge for the most special of nights out during a holiday in Dubai, an average cocktail here will set you back from 100 to 140 dirhams which translated into pounds is around £20 starting price.

Surely the most expensive drink of your life but with a setting like this? It's certainly worth the experience at least once - just think of how much you'll be reliving the moment through those golden photographs you'll take as mementos of the night...Facebook envy anyone? You bet!

To make an evening there a reality you'll first have to arrange a reservation through the bar's app, available on both iOS and Android. Your booking will be instantly activated upon entering the Burj Al Arab...and voila! After setting foot in it you'll have instant access to the bar. Dress code is smart casual, or as the hotel describes it "stylish chic". As you'd probably expect that means no flip flops, shorts or trainers (as if it'd ever cross your mind to wear them at a place like this!) but aside from that it's pretty much open to your interpretation of what stylish is. Jeans are allowed so long as they look elegant; so not as stuffy as it appears after all.

Still, you might feel this as the perfect opportunity to show off your nicest or most expensive outfit...out of all the occasions... there couldn't be a better one! Coming suited and booted James Bond-style might just be what makes you feel extra special here.

If you want to mingle with the city's most discerning socialites this is the new bar to be at in Dubai. And it also comes perfectly packaged with breathtaking views of the city's skyline and the Arabian Gulf thanks to its location in the hotel's 27th floor. And where else could it be but the most outrageously luxurious of all Dubai hotels?
