Multi-million Dollar expansions planned for Sandals LaSource Grenada Resort and Spa

Sandals International has announced a multi-million dollar expansion project of its Sandals LaSource Grenada Resort and Spa. The project will see the creation of 32 new Lagoon Nature Reserve Suites that will open in summer 2016, and will feature butler services, smart TVs, and the brand's signature Luxury Included amenities.

Sandals LaSource Grenada Resort and Spa will undergo a $10 million expansion programmes, according to Sandals International.

The popular resort in Grenada in the Caribbean opened in December, 2013, and will be extended with the addition of 32 new Lagoon Nature Reserve Suites.

Set to open in summer 2016, the new luxury suites will have butler services, smart TVs, signature Luxury Included amenities, and views of the sparkling lagoon.

Gordon "Butch" Stewart, the Chairman of Sandals Resorts International, commented:

"We have had the most extraordinary two years in Grenada where we saw the demand for our brand and the destination soar. We have decided to invest more in our product here, in an effort to meet the high demand the international travel trade has placed on us for Grenada."

Sandals LaSource Grenada Resort and Spa is situated on 17 acres of land on the Pink Gin Beach in Grenada. Its luxurious accommodation includes 225 luxurious guest rooms and suites that are positioned within three individual villages: Italian, Tahiti and Pink Gin. The addition of the new Lagoon Nature Reserve Suites will bring the hotel's capacity to 257 rooms.

Facilities at the Caribbean resort include the outdoor open-air "Living Room," with a bar, piano, and billiards; the signature Red Lane Spa with nine treatment rooms and a nail and hair salon; a dedicated wedding lounge; a gift shop; and nine diverse restaurants serving international culinary delights, including Sandals first top-tier steakhouse called Butch's Chophouse.

Added Mr. Stewart on Breaking Travel News. Sandals' chairman also explained their goals:

Sandals LaSource Grenada Resort and Spa will continue to operate as normal during the expansion work and facilities will not be affected.

Grenada is a beautiful island that is famous for its natural delights including Grand Anse Beach; Mount St. Catherine; Grand Etang Nature Reserve with its turquoise crater lake; the Seven Sister Waterfalls, Mt. Carmel Waterfall, the highest waterfall in Grenada; and the thriving Underwater Sculpture Park.

Holidaymakers can take a tour around Belmont Estate, a former 17th-Century plantation and base for the renowned Grenada Chocolate Company products.
