Tamarind Hills Resort in Antigua to add luxury One-Bedroom Suites

The Tamarind Hills development in Antigua has launched a new project that will see the addition of new luxury accommodation.

The Ocean One project will include 57 upscale new one-bedroom suites that will sit on the hillside above the picturesque Ffryes Beach.

As well as new accommodation, there will also be the addition of new restaurants, a new reception area, a conference centre, and new tennis courts, all of which are due to open in winter 2017.

The Tamarind Hills development has 11 villas and 36 en-suite guest rooms, all with private pools, and the luxury resort's owners plan to eventually offer a total of 200 guest rooms.

"Tamarind Hills is not only adding to our overall room capacity, but is an incredibly important property for the Antigua and Barbuda portfolio."

Stated Asot Michael, the Tourism Minister for Antigua and Barbuda. The minister also explained:

"Trends are showing how villas are becoming more and more popular for those seeking luxury and something different."

The twin-island nation of Antigua and Barbuda lies between the Caribbean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean, and is famous for its wide collection of beautiful pristine pink and white sand beaches; one for every day of the year.

Antigua is the larger of the two islands and it is a hotspot for destination for weddings, honeymoons and family holidays, thanks to its natural scenery which is typical of the Caribbean: white sand palm-fringed beaches, warm azure ocean waters, and verdant forests and emerald landscapes.

Barbuda is the smaller of the two, located north of Antigua, and is a popular spot for bird watching, particularly at the Frigate Bird Sanctuary in the Codrington Lagoon. The island is less built-up and has a collection of luxury beachfront hotels and resorts and charming BandBs, including the Paradise Found property that is co-owned by Hollywood actor Robert De Niro.
