Accor's Novotel and Ibis hotels in Fujairah awarded ISO certification

Novotel and Ibis Fujairah have received ISO certification in Quality Management and Environmental Management.

The two hotels in Fujairah are the first to receive the certification that measures the safety of products and services, and a company's commitment to environmental practise.

Karim Zaki, the General Manager of the two hotels, commented while receiving the news:

"We are very proud to be certified, thanks to the commitment of our team. We hope it will encourage other hotels in Fujairah to follow our lead and result in higher occupancy rates and guest satisfaction."

Both Novotel and Ibis Fujairah opened their doors in Fujairah in 2014, marking the debut of Accor-branded hotels in the emirate.

Fujairah is one of seven emirates that make up the United Arab Emirates, and it is the only one that has its entire coastline facing the Gulf of Oman.

The modern emirate is separated from the rest of the UAE by the jagged Hajar Mountains. Popular tourist attractions include the Al-Bidyah Mosque, Fujairah Fort and the Heritage Village, Al-Hayl Castle, Sheikh Zayed Mosque, wadis with cascading waterfalls, and the Ain al-Madhab Hot Springs at the foothills of the Hajar Mountains.

There are plenty of golden sand beaches where tourists can soak up the sunshine or go scuba diving or snorkelling in the turquoise ocean waters and discover an array of diverse marine life.

Holidaymakers are connected to nearby Dubai via the Sheikh Khalifa Highway, making it a convenient destination for both business and leisure travellers. There's a thriving business and commercial district in the city, as well as several new developments such as a large shopping mall.

The United Arab Emirates have become a popular tourist destination in the Middle East over recent years. The capital Abu Dhabi is home golden sand beaches and luxury hotels, while the cosmopolitan Dubai boasts its soaring, unique architecture and huge malls. Ras Al Khaimah has vast red desert, lush green plains, creeks and sparkling lagoons, and Sharjah was named as the Arab Capital of Culture by UNESCO in 1998.
