BlueBay Group opens new hotel in Morocco

The BlueBay Group has expanded its portfolio in the North African market with the opening of the new Blue Diamond Sahara Palace in Marrakech.

The luxury hotel is situated in the Palmeraie area beneath the Atlas Mountains and guests can enjoy a tranquil oasis within a picturesque desert setting.

Accommodation is made up of 89 spacious suites and several Riads with suites and a private courtyard and gardens. The suites have private terraces, sofas and Balinese beds, private bathrooms, 40-inch TVs, 24-hour room service, and complimentary WiFi.

The hotel also boasts a 500-square-metre Royal Suite with three bedrooms that is accessible via a private lift and occupies an entire floor of the building. The suite has dressing rooms, a dining room, and a lavish living room with a fireplace.

Facilities at the new property include four gourmet restaurants serving a selection of Moroccan, Indian, international and Mediterranean cuisine, as well as a Cigar Bar and Tea Room.

Holidaymakers can unwind with pampering massages or treatments at The Spa by Blue Diamond. Spread across 3,800-square-metres, the spa has 14 treatment rooms, two large traditional hammams, a pool, yoga room, and modern gym.

As part of its expansion plan, the BlueBay Group is opening new luxury hotels across North Africa and the Middle East under its Blue Diamond, BlueBay Hotels & Resorts and BelleVue Hotels & Resorts brands. These include new properties in Istanbul in Turkey, Ras Al Khaimah, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and Fujairah in the United Arab Emirates, and Sharm El Sheikh in Egypt.

Morocco is a country in North Africa located south of Spain with a coastline that spreads across both the Atlantic Ocean and the Mediterranean Sea. While visiting Morocco, tourists can explore the medieval city of Fez; the movie-famous city of Casablanca that is home to the country’s largest mosque, The King Hassan II; the traditional souks, spice markets and historical ruins in Marrakech; and the south-western coastal city of Agadir which is home to traditional bazaars, beautiful beaches, several museums, and the majestic 16th-century Kasbah.
