Cool new family beach club opens in Phuket

A cool new beach club concept has been unveiled in the southern Thai resort of Aleenta Phuket offering lounging, dining, dancing and fun beach activities for all the family.

Luxury resort Aleenta Phuket in the southern Thai town of Phang-Nga has unveiled a new beach club concept that caters for families as well as couples. The resort’s new Saturday Sessions offer adults with kids the chance to enjoy beach club life – lounging, dining and dancing – with fun beach activities for everyone and a kids club to keep young ones amused.

The new Saturday hot spot is intended for parents who want to relax and enjoy themselves knowing their children are nearby and well cared for. The club is open every Saturday from 2pm. Anchalika Kijkanakorn, managing director and owner of Aleenta Phuket said;

"The Saturday Sessions are very much about reclining, dining, unwinding, and it's aimed at couples, couples with kids, big kids at heart and anyone with a taste for the luxury beach club life, a tasty tune and a nicely chilled Rose."

The new Saturday hot spot includes a top-notch Children’s Club offering imaginative activities to ensure children have a good time too. There will also be fun beach activities for all the family to enjoy including beach ‘putt putt’ mini golf, a floating slide and floating beach ball cages.

The award-winning culinary team behind the resort’s The Edge restaurant will be serving up innovative beach snacks, including a 'Pieces of Eight' Asian tapas selection featuring original dishes and Asian fusion creations that are designed for light grazing.

Main courses from the The Edge include fresh seafood, roasts, pasta and noodle dishes, along with innovative desserts and free-flowing cocktails. There are also complimentary sodas for children aged up to six years old, and half price beverages for kids aged seven to 12.

According to Kijkanakorn;

"This is beach clubbing for the grown-up, who knows how to have a good time, but has moved along in life a bit. We're not bling bling and bad behaviour. It's a kinder, gentler style of clubbing, or lounging.

The move comes on the heels of a 3.5 million-dollar renovation project that saw the award-winning resort add a spectacular beachfront infinity pool, a new version of The Edge gourmet restaurant and an expansive poolside lounging area perched atop the white sand Natai beach, overlooking the Andaman Sea.

The concept is the latest innovation by the resort group, which also recently opened the Ayurah Wellness Centre where guests are treated a 'wellness that works' philosophy from Linda Meredith that focuses on natural health and beauty treatments.
