Casa de Campo in Dominican Republic wins two 2014 World Travel Awards
The luxury resort Casa de Campo in the Dominican Republic has been recognised in this year's World Travel Awards. The 7,000-acre resort in La Romana has been named the Dominican Republic's Leading Resort and the Dominican Republic's Leading Spa Resort in the 21st annual World Travel Awards, which are hailed as the "Oscars of the travel industry".

The luxury 7,000-acre resort in La Romana in the Dominican Republic was named as the Dominican Republic’s Leading Resort and the country’s Leading Spa Resort.
The new president of Casa de Campo Resort, Rafael Torres, accepted the two trophies at the recent World Travel Market in London.
Casa de Campo is located on the south-eastern coast of the Dominican Republic and it features spacious accommodation comprising 185 guest rooms and suites, including three-to-ten bedroom villa mansions.
The luxury beachfront resort offers the Sporting Life experience with three Pete Dye-designed golf courses offering 90 holes, a Polo & Equestrian Centre, La Terraza Tennis Club, and a 245-acre skeet/trap shooting centre.
The property is a member of Leading Golf Resorts of the World, Leading Hotels of the World and Preferred Hotels & Resorts
Casa de Campo was also named in the 2014 IAGTO Awards as the “Golf Resort of the Year” in the “Rest of the World” category.
La Romana is located in the south east of the Caribbean island nation opposite Catalina Island.
