Daniel Scott appointed as new managing director of Rosewood Mayakoba in Riviera Maya

Rosewood Hotels & Resorts has announced that Daniel Scott is the new managing director of Rosewood Mayakoba in the Riviera Maya. He recently worked as the resort manager of Las Ventanas al Paraiso in Los Cabos in Mexico and he will now be responsible for the operations of the luxury 130-room resort.

Daniel Scott has been appointed as the new Managing Director of Rosewood Mayakoba in Mexico.

Scott, who previously worked as the resort manager of Las Ventanas al Paraiso in Los Cabos, will now be responsible for overseeing the operations of the 130-room resort in the Riviera Maya near Cancun.

“I have loved every Rosewood property that I have been fortunate enough to call home and the reason for this is simple, the people,” Scott commented. “I am humbled to be now leading the special team of Rosewood Mayakoba and look forward to the taking the guest and employee experience to the next level.”

Rosewood Mayakoba is surrounded by verdant jungles and pristine white beaches and its luxurious accommodation is made up of 130 suites situated along tranquil lagoons with amenities such as plunge pools, spacious terraces, and boat docks.

The luxury beachfront resort has gourmet restaurants, a swimming pool, an upscale spa, and a fitness centre. Guests can play golf at the Greg Norman-designed golf resort, go scuba diving or snorkelling, go swimming in ancient caves, or enjoy horse riding on the beach.

Graeme Davis, the Vice President of Rosewood Hotels & Resorts said in a statement that Scott was a “proven leader with exceptional results and we are confident he will bring these skills and passion for luxury hospitality to his new role at Rosewood Mayakoba.

The Mexican Riviera Maya is located approximately 40 miles south of Cancun and boasts some of the world’s most magnificent natural landscapes and diverse wildlife species.

The region surrounding Cancun and Riviera Maya is home to some of Mexico’s most historical sites, and ancient Mayan ruins and temples such as the Tulum archaeological site, Coba, Ek Balam, San Gervasio, Xcaret, and Chichen Itza, as well as verdant thriving nature parks and reserves, crystal clear azure ocean waters, and miles of sweeping unspoilt beaches.
