Starwood Hotels and Resorts to debut W Brand in Morocco in 2017
Starwood Hotels and Resorts will make its W brand debut in Morocco in 2017 with the opening of W Marrakech. The 148-room hotel will be situated in the Hivernage district of the city, close to Menara Gardens, and its facilities will include five restaurants and lounges, a spa, a gym and 11,000-square-feet of meeting and event space.
Starwood Hotels and Resorts has announced that its W lifestyle brand will be entering the Moroccan market in 2017.
The W Marrakech Hotel will be located in the Hivernage district in Marrakech, Morocco, close to Menara Gardens and its interior will be designed by GA Design International, a company which also worked on the hotel group's W Taipei and St. Regis Osaka properties.
The 148-room luxury hotel will have upscale facilities that guests can enjoy, including five gourmet restaurants and stylish lounges, a lavish spa, a modern gym, and 11,000 square-feet of meeting and event space.
Starwood Hotels and Resorts is also planning to launch another W-branded property in North Africa with the opening of the W Cairo in Egypt in 2016.
