Montpelier Plantation and Beach in St Kitts and Nevis to reopen in October following renovations
Montpelier Plantation and Beach will reopen on 18th October, 2014, following a two-month closure for upgrades and renovations. The former sugar plantation in St Kitts and Nevis dates back to the 1700s and the property has bungalow-style accommodation, a private beach, a swimming pool and gourmet restaurants.
Following a two-month seasonal closure, Montpelier Plantation and Beach will be reopening on 18th October, 2014.
The 19-room property in St Kitts and Nevis was a former sugar plantation that dates back to the 1700s and its recent closure has allowed upgrades and renovations.
Located on the island of Nevis, the boutique hotel has bungalow-style accommodation, a swimming pool, three bars, three acres of private beach, and a Great Room which is undergoing refurbishments.
Stephane Caumont, former chef at Grand Hyatt Dubai, is the new chef at the luxury beachfront resort and will be introducing introduce a menu that focuses on local culinary fare to Montpelier's Restaurant 750, Indigo and the Mill Privee.
The property offers Relais and Chateaux hospitality and has been named as one of the top resort hotels in the Caribbean in Travel and Leisure and Conde Nast Traveller magazines.
Situated 750 feet above the Caribbean Sea in the foothills of Nevis Peak, Montpelier Plantation and Beach is surrounded by 60 acres of lush tropical gardens full of vibrant flora and fauna and is just six miles away from its white sand private beach.
