Sanctuary Cap Cana in Dominican Republic to close temporarily for renovations

Alsol Hotels and Resorts' has announced that Sanctuary Cap Cana in the Dominican Republic will be closing this month for renovations. The property will reopen on 15th December, 2014, following a refurbishment project that will include new common areas, upgraded guest rooms, new restaurants, and renovated interiors.

Alsol Hotels and Resorts have revealed that they will be closing Sanctuary Cap Cana this month to carry out renovations on the property.

Located 15 minutes from Punta Cana International Airport in the Dominican Republic, the luxury beachfront resort is nestled in the enclave of Cap Cana within tropical Caribbean surroundings made up of white sand palm-fringed beaches, lush tropical gardens and turquoise ocean waters.

The Cancun-based hotel group said that the property's refurbishments would include new common areas, upgrades to guest rooms and suites, updated interior decorations and furniture, and new gastronomic additions. The hotel will reopen on 15th December, 2014.

Alsol Hotels and Resorts operates two other luxury hotels in the Dominican Republic: AlSol Luxury Village and AlSol Del Mar. AlSol Tiara Cap Cana, a third all inclusive Dominican Republic resort, is currently under construction and is scheduled to open in 2015. The company also operates the family-friendly Sea Adventure Resort and Waterpark in Cancun, Mexico.

The Dominican Republic is the second largest Caribbean nation after Cuba, and it occupies the eastern two third of the island of Hispaniola. The country has four magnificent mountain ranges, snaking rivers, vast lakes, turquoise coastal lagoons, sugar plantations, and miles of unspoilt white sand palm-fringed beaches.

The nation's most popular tourist resorts include Punta Cana and Cap Cana on the eastern tip; Santa Domingo, the country's colonial capital city; and the historic town of Puerto Plata on the north coast.

Cap Cana is a leading tourist resort with miles beautiful sugar soft sandy beaches, warm azure ocean waters, designer golf courses, and the Marina Cap Cana where visitors can moor their yachts.

Holidaymakers can take part in a variety of exciting activities such as zip lining, caving, waterfall cascading, group catamaran rides, tours of verdant plantations and historical sites, trekking through thriving nature reserves, scuba diving, snorkelling, sailing, kayaking, and deep sea fishing.
