Luxurious Hormuz Grand Hotel opens in Oman's capital Muscat

The Hormuz Grand opened to guests last weekend in Muscat, Oman, The luxury hotel is located just three minutes from Muscat International Airport and it offers 231 spacious guest rooms and 25 sophisticated suites, plus upscale facilities including gourmet restaurants, a grand ballroom, a business centre, and a lavish spa with eight treatment rooms.

Muscat has welcomed a brand new hotel to the city with the recent opening of the Hormuz Grand Hotel.

Located in the centre of the capital city of Oman, just three minutes from Muscat International Airport (MCT), the luxury hotel has 231 spacious guest rooms and 25 stylish suites.

Guests can choose from a variety of dining experiences at the Hormuz Grand, including The Straits, which offers international cuisine through its buffet and a la carte menus, and a setting that faces the unique water feature in the court yard. There is also the Indian Restaurant and the Seafood Market where guests can excite their taste buds with fresh flavours and dishes.

"The launch of the Hormuz Grand is a significant occasion with additional 231 luxury rooms to the hotel industry in Oman. It is in line with the vision of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said to promote world class hospitality and tourism in the country, creating jobs for the youth and training them in what they are good at - unmatched hospitality."

The hotel caters for both leisure and business travellers and its facilities include a lavish spa which is managed by ISpa from Thailand and boasts eight treatment rooms, and steam and sauna facilities; a state-of-the-art fitness centre and large swimming pool; a business centre with multiple board rooms, meeting rooms and interview rooms; large ballrooms that can accommodate between 120 and 350 guests; and 2,000-square-metres of office rental space that has its own private lobby and lifts.

Muscat is a popular destination for tourists visiting Oman and holidaymakers can walk miles along the city's beaches and coastline or explore the historic sites and attractions such as the Al Jalali Fort and Al Mirani forts, Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque, Qasr Al Alam Royal Palace, Qurum National Park and the Bait az-Zubair Museum.
