Luxury One Farrer hotel to open soon in Singapore

A luxury five star hotel- the One Farrer Hotel and Spa is coming to Singapore's lifestyle complex Connexion this August. This 250 room hotel ushers a new era in the urban hotel industry of Southeast Asia as it offers guests an exclusive luxury hotel experience in downtown Singapore.

Of the resort concept, Dr, Richard Helfar the Chairman of One Farrer Pte Ltd and Farrer Park Company Board Member stated:

"When conceptualising the key elements of One Farrer Hotel and Spa, we wanted to create a hotel that would tick all the boxes of what travellers want in a hotel. The ‘Total Environment' philosophy provides hotel residents with functional spaces and everything they need at their fingertips".

Guests will indeed have everything at their fingertips as the resort offers swimming pools, two large spas, two gymnasiums in addition to its very own retail arcade located on the ground floor as well as a large ballroom and banquet hall and access to the finest medical facilities with the Farrer Park Medical Centre housed within the same complex.

The One Farrer Hotel and Spa is a true testament to the strides being taken in Singapore's tourism industry. Key stakeholders understand the important role that new concepts and ideas must play if Singapore is to stay competitive on both a regional and a global scale.

Ahead of Singapore's annual travel trade festival TravelRave 2014, the Singapore Tourism Board (STB) recently held a panel discussion aimed at generating ideas on how to best attract fresh new talent to the country's tourism industry in an effort to "future proof" the sector. In their press release the tourist board explained:

"As we look at consumption patterns, the reality is that Millennials are going to consume differently. If we want to be relevant to them, I hope we are bringing in young talent into the industry and using the talent to design experiences for the future".

Singapore achieved a record number of international visitors in 2013 with 15.6 million holidaymakers arriving last year. The record number of arrivals represents a year-on-year growth of 7 per cent. Revenue generated by Singapore hotels increased by 3.9 per cent in 2013 to S$2.9 billion for the year.
