Wyndham Hotel Group to make debut in Kenya with Ramada Nairobi

The Wyndham Hotel Group will be expanding its presence in Africa after it signed a franchise agreement to open a new hotel in Nairobi.

This will be the hotel group's first hotel in Kenya and it will be located on Wangapala Road, just 19 kilometres from the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (NBO).

Ramada Nairobi will be owned and managed by Global Hotels Management Africa, who also operate the Ramada Hotel and Suites Ras Al Khaimah in the United Arab Emirates. Rui Barros, Wyndham Hotel Group's Senior Vice President and Managing Director for Europe, the Middle East, Africa and the Indian Ocean, commented:

"Wyndham Hotel Group continually seeks to expand its portfolio of hotel brands in high-demand markets like Kenya, where the oil and gas industries are growing rapidly. We are confident that Ramada Nairobi, as part of a globally recognised brand with growth potential in the market and a continuation of our successful relationship with GHM, will be a tremendous addition to our portfolio."

The four-star hotel is scheduled to open later this year and will have 89 guest rooms including 25 suites, and facilities including several restaurants, including an all-day dining option and speciality restaurants serving Chinese and Pakistani cuisine; a lavish spa, fitness area and indoor swimming pool; and two meeting rooms and a rooftop banquet hall.

Kenya is a country located in East Africa that boasts beautiful white sand beaches fringed with the sparkling waters of the Indian Ocean and the soaring snow-capped Mount Kenya. Wyndham Hotel Group's currently has Ramada and Hawthorn Suites by Wyndham hotels in Africa in countries including Ghana, Nigeria, Morocco and Tunisia.
