Cuba Travel Services to Offer Flights between Miami and Holguin, Cuba
Cuba Travel Services has announced that it will now offer charter flights between Miami and Holguin in Cuba. The flights will be operated by American Airlines and Sun Country Airlines and will give American tourists the opportunity to visit the city in eastern Cuba which was the site of Christopher Columbus' landing in 1492.
The charter company, Cuba Travel Services, has extended its flight offerings between the United States and Cuba after announcing a new service to Holguin.
The new flights will operate between Miami and Holguin in Cuba and they will be operated by American Airlines and Sun Country Airlines using a Boeing 737-800 aircraft with a two-class configuration.
The travel company also arranges flights to Havana, Cienfuegos, Camaguey, Santa Clara and Santiago de Cuba.
Holguin is located in eastern Cuba and is known as the City of Parks. Christopher Columbus famously landed in Gibara, in the province of Holguin, on 27th October, 1492 and said it was "the eyes of the most beautiful country that man has ever seen."
More Americans are now booking holidays to Cuba after U.S President Obama relaxed restrictions in 2011 on the ongoing Cuba travel embargo.
American travellers are now allowed to travel to Cuba for cultural, academic, religious, educational and professional purposes.
Cuba is an island nation in the Caribbean Sea and it has become the third major tourist destination in the Caribbean over the past decade despite having no tourists from the United States.
