The Voice winner Tessanne Chin to perform at 2014 St. Kitts Music Festival
Tessanne Chin, the season five winner of NBC's TV reality music show, 'The Voice', will be performing at the 18th annual St Kitts Music Festival in June, 2014. The Jamaican reggae singer performed at the festival in 2007 and tourists taking St Kitts and Nevis holidays will have the chance to see her perform live again following her recent TV show victory.
The winner of the fifth season of the NBC U.S TV show "The Voice" will be performing at the 18th annual St Kitts Music Festival this summer.
Tessanne Chin, a Jamaican reggae-fusion singer, will be taking to the stage to perform in front of both local residents and tourists visiting St Kitts and Nevis at the annual festival which will take place from 26th to 28th June, 2014.
Senator Ricky Skerritt, the Minister of Tourism and International Transport, commented:
"St. Kitts Musical Festival patrons first fell in love with Tessanne when she performed here early in her career in 2007, and we are even more pleased to welcome her back to St. Kitts this year following her recent career-changing The Voice victory."
Born in Jamaica, Tessanne started singing from a young age and she joined the Jamaican rock band "Mile High" where she performed at numerous venues on the island including Jazz fest, Rock fest, and RETV Unplugged. She left the group to pursue a solo singing career and her debut single Hideaway was played on Jamaican New York radio stations. Since recently winning The Voice, the singer has performed at the Rose Bowl Parade on the first ever The Voice float on 1st January, 2014 and at Shaggy's benefit concert, "Shaggy and Friends."

Located in the West Indies, the Caribbean islands of St Kitts and Nevis are separated by a two-mile channel and tourists can easily access both islands during their visit.
