Hilton Cyprus scoops two coveted awards at World Travel Awards Europe Ceremony 2013
Hilton Cyprus has been recognised at the world's most prestigious travel awards ceremony as the leading hotel and business hotel in Cyprus. The World Travel Awards 2013 Europe Gala Ceremony took place in Turkey at the end of August and Hilton Cyprus was one of 20 Hilton Worldwide properties in Europe to receive the coveted awards.
The World Travel Awards 2013 Europe Gala Ceremony has recognised the Hilton Cyprus as the leading hotel and business hotel in Cyprus.
The Europe Gala Ceremony took place at the end of August in Antalya, Turkey and awarded 20 European Hilton hotels in total.
At the gala event Simon Vincent, the Area President of EMEA Hilton Worldwide, commented:
"I am delighted to see so many of our hotels recognised at these well-respected awards, including one for the fifth consecutive year. This demonstrates a consistent level of service across our brands and our company's leading position within the European market, where we now have more than 250 hotels in 30 countries."
The World Travel Awards are hailed as the "Oscars of the travel industry" by the media across the world and were launched in 1993 to acknowledge and recognise excellence in the global travel and tourism industry. The winners of the regional heats will go on to compete for awards in the Grand Final Gala Ceremony in November this year.
Hilton Cyprus is centrally located in the historic Old City and the business district in Nicosia.
