Mauiva AirCruise the next big trend for Caribbean holidays

Travellers planning to book the ultimate island hopping Caribbean holiday experience may soon have the option to embark on a Mauiva AirCruise. The US travel firm that has taken the cruise ship concept to the skies is said to be assessing the outcomes of its four soft launch trips to the Caribbean and have hinted that they would be establishing a regular Caribbean itinerary which will include top destinations like the Cayman Islands.

Mauiva AirCruise the next big trend for Caribbean holidays

Mauiva's unique AirCruise concept, which has already taken off in the US, is set to take the Caribbean by storm as the firm contemplates increasing the frequency of their Caribbean holidays offers.

Mauiva's director of marketing Don Hundley has noted the great potential that Caribbean region holds with some of the world's most sought after holiday destinations. Already Mauiva AirCruise has tested the waters with a soft launch embarking on four trips to the region including destinations like the Cayman Islands, the Bahamas and Jamaica. The soft launch must have proven to be a success as the company is now said to be working towards establishing more frequent flights to the Caribbean.

The case for Mauiva AirCruise in the Caribbean is certainly a strong one as it allows travellers to get a taste of the varied cultures, sights and experiences that each of the Caribbean islands has to offer. While some may argue that the same can be said for the traditional cruise ship experience, the AiCruise concept drastically reduces the time spent getting from one destination to the next allowing travellers to truly experience each island. "The whole concept is making multi-destination travel simple... It cuts down on hassle and travel time and gives people the chance to enjoy the activities and make the most of their time at each destination" stated Mr Hundley.

Tourism officials in the Cayman Islands have welcomed Mauiva with open arms with the recent four AirCruise charter flights said to have exposed the Cayman Islands hotels and restaurants to a diverse client mix. Jane van der Bol executive director of the tourism association stated, "Private air charters have tremendous benefits to travellers such as greater convenience, comfort, privacy and productivity... Mauiva AirCruise charter has brought about four charters to the Cayman Islands with a diverse client mix to experience the fine restaurants, hotels, attractions and water sports we have to offer".

Similarly, the airports authority business development and marketing manager also spoke out in support of Mauiva stating, "The Cayman Islands Airports Authority welcomes the Mauiva AirCruise charter to Grand Cayman and is delighted that they chose to include us in their Sun and Fun Experience. We trust that they will thoroughly enjoy all that our Island has to offer".
