Montpelier Plantation and Beach to host yoga holidays on island of Nevis

Montpelier Plantation and Beach is giving holidaymakers the chance to enjoy yoga and fitness during St Kitts and Nevis holidays as it gets ready to host its first yoga retreat. The week-long yoga retreat will take place from 24th to 31st March, 2013 and will be led by local yoga instructor Tara Leigh.

Montpelier Plantation and Beach hotel on the Caribbean island of Nevis will be hosting its first ever yoga retreat later this month. Tourists visitng St Kitts and Nevis between 24th and 31st March, 2013 will be able to experience the healing power of relaxation and fitness with the help of local yoga instructor, Tara Leigh.

The week-long retreat will give holidaymakers the chance to replenish the mind, body and soul within the luxurious surroundings of the Relais and Chateaux boutique St Kitts and Nevis hotel.

Guests will start their holidays in St Kitts and Nevis with morning meditation and power yoga led by Leigh, a member of the International Yoga Alliance. After morning meditation, tourist will enjoy afternoon yoga classes, including one afternoon of yoga on the St Kitts and Nevis hotel's private beach; a guided hike up Nevis Peak; a cooking demonstration by Executive Chef Benjamin Voisin; and an excursion to the capital of Nevis, Charlestown, where tourists can visit historical sites, shop in markets and stores, and savour authentic Caribbean cuisine in restaurants.

During their holidays guests would enjoy two nights of meditation by candlelight, and an evening of Montpelier's signature Vino and Vinyasa at the poolside Indigo restaurant and bar. The yoga package starts from $1,795 per person and includes seven nights' accommodation, yoga activities, daily breakfast and tea, transport to all off-property activities.

St Kitts and Nevis is a twin-island nation located in the West Indies and it is one of the leading destinations for luxury Caribbean holidays. The islands are separated by a two-mile channel and are home to breathtaking natural landscapes including volcanic peaks, lush green rainforests, unspoiled white sand beaches and the ocean's turquoise, crystal clear, warm waters. Visitors can enjoy an abundance of wildlife including birds, turtles, tropical monkeys, and diverse marine species.
