Louvre Hotels Group buy into a chain of Morocco hotels

French based hotel firm, Louvre Hotels Group has recently announced a lucrative partnership with Moroccan Group Ynna Holding.

Under the terms of the partnership Louvre Hotels Group will be able to significantly increase its brand presence in Morocco and North Africa by rebranding 12 Morocco hotels as either Tulip Inn (three stars), Golden Tulip (four stars) or Royal Tulip (5 stars) depending on the type of property. The move is set to make the French hotel group one of the go to hotel brands for travellers booking Morocco holidays.

Chariman and CEO of the Louvre Hotels Group, Pierre Frederic Roulor noted the importance of the deal as part of his firm's international growth strategy, "Our partnership with Ynna Holding is an unparalleled opportunity for the development of Golden Tulip hotels in Morocco. Following the opening up of the Algerian market in 2012, this new partnership reflects the growing importance of North Africa in Louvre Hotels Group's international development strategy. It forms part of the more general approach of strengthening the Group's position in this region".

The deal, based on a renewable eight year period, is said to have made Louvre Hotel Group one of the largest hotel groups in Morocco. The12 hotels, which will now fall under the Louvre Hotels Group management, were previously branded Mogador Hotels, ten of which are already in operation while the remaining two are currently under construction. The hotels are spread across key cities in Morocco including Essaouira, Agadir, Tangiers, Casablanca and of course Marrakech - one of the most popular destinations for Morocco holidays. Together, the 12 properties make up approximately 4600 rooms with a further 1600 under construction.

Following the announcement of the partnership Louvre Hotels Group came in for high praise from the chairman of the Ynna Holding Group, Miloud Chaabi who stated, "As the leading hotel chain in Morocco, Ryad Mogador Hotels is joining forces with a global player in the hotel industry, which manages more than 1,100 establishments around the world. This alliance will give our hotels an international profile and bring support and management of the highest international standards. Louvre Hotels Group's expertise and its distribution and sales networks are major strengths for us".
