Sandals Hosts Jamaica Beach Party for Prince Harry During Diamond Jubilee Tour

To mark the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee this year, Prince Harry has been travelling around the Caribbean on a seven-day tour visiting the islands of Belize, Bahamas and Jamaica.

Sandals Royal Caribbean Resort & Private Island in Montego Bay is a hotspot for luxury Jamaica holidays and the resort hosted the Prince when he visited the island last week.

Prince Harry attended a chic beach party at the resort where he celebrated Jamaican culture, history, cuisine, music and dancing.
Adam Stewart, the Chief Executive of Sandals Resorts, said: “It was truly an honour for us to host Prince Harry at Sandals Royal Caribbean.

“Sandals Resorts embodies the culture and vibe of Jamaica, and we were delighted to help him experience what our island is all about.”

The Prince was entertained with fire dancers and a steel pan band, and he had the opportunity to taste some of Jamaica’s culinary delights such as the famous Jerk flavour and delicious fresh local fruits.

A special show was performed in his honour and featured Jamaica’s musical journey through dance with performers demonstrating the various styles, from Quadrille and Ska, to Reggae.

At the end of his Jamaica holiday, Prince Harry was presented with a piece of Jamaican art from the Jamaican Tourist Board before he headed off on the next leg of his first solo overseas tour on behalf of the Queen.

Sandals Royal Caribbean Resort & Private Island is one of the most upscale Jamaica hotels in the hotel group’s portfolio. Located on a private, offshore island, the resort boasts luxurious accommodation and facilities, and guests will receive a high level of service during holidays in Jamaica.

Last year, Sandals Royal Caribbean Resort & Private Island hosted the Caribbean & the Americas Gala Ceremony for the World Travel Awards and Jamaica was awarded as the “Caribbean’s Leading Destination” for the sixth year consecutive year.
