Jebel Ali Golf Resort's profile expands beyond a popular Dubai holidays spot with new Chefs

Jebel Ali Golf Resort's profile expands beyond a popular Dubai holidays spot with new Chefs

Being awarded the prestigious 2011 World Travel Award for the Middle East’s Leading Golf Resort is indicative of the sterling reputation the Jebel Ali Golf Resort has amassed over the years. The resort, comprising two beach hotels: the Palm Tree Court and Spa and the original Jebel Ali Hotel, has long been one of the top selections for holidaymakers going on Dubai holidays.

While their image as a luxury golf resort has thrived, their reputation for first class cuisine has flown under the radar for some time; and this, by the looks of things, is set to change. Two of the resorts' floating restaurants have grown in popularity, thanks in no small part to the arrival of internationally recognised master chefs.

Most notably, the DiVAZ restaurant has opened its doors to Swedish born Michelin Star chef Stefan Karlsson the current owner of Restaurant Fond in Gothenburg. Cognisant of the opportunity, Fredrik Reinisch, general manager of Jebel Ali, stated “I am delighted to be welcoming a Michelin Star Chef to Jebel Ali Golf Resort and Spa and it is a true honour to have him cook on DiVAZ”., Karlsson’s dishes are modern and simple yet elegant, perfectly suited for the customer seeking something to tantalise the taste buds on their luxury holidays. The specialties on offer at DiVAZ include a main of smoke-marinated salmon, sugar fried lamb with seasonal vegetables, panko-style langoustines best followed by a baked milk chocolate desert served with caramel apple, sorbet and almond crunch.

For many, the mere thought of Dubai holidays conjures up images of extravagance, luxury and elegance; the Bateaux Dubai restaurant at the Jebel Ali Resort meets all these expectations and more. Designed by French based Seine Design, the floating restaurant outfitted with anti-reflective glass offers dinners a breath-taking view of the scenery along the Dubai Creek. As the dinner cruise sets sail gently along the creek, diners are treated to the finest wines selected to accompany a four course meal prepared by internationally recognized chefs. The view and exquisite food on offer is perfectly complimented by the ambience created by a high end sound system.
